About the job

As a People & Culture Specialist at SnappCar, you will take on a broad HR role, covering the entire employee lifecycle and building a strong foundation for our people strategy. You’ll play a key role in attracting talent, ensuring smooth HR processes, and advising leadership on topics like performance, development, and company culture.

 

These are some of the topics you will be responsible for:

  • You will take on a broad People & Culture role, covering the entire employee lifecycle. You play a key role in attracting the right people, running smooth HR processes, staying aligned with labor laws and regulations, and building a strong HR foundation through various projects.

  • Together with the leadership team, you work on key areas such as performance management, personal development, core values, and onboarding of new team members.

  • You take the lead in creating a workplace that balances fun, wellbeing, and our mission-driven entrepreneurial culture.

  • HR administration runs smoothly under your guidance, from employee changes to payroll coordination, and you maintain strong relationship with external partners such as our payroll administrator.

  • You advise the leadership team and team leads on complex situations, give support on talks about salary and performance, and regularly hold 1:1 coaching sessions with leadership.

  • You ensure a safe and positive work environment, proactively contributing to a thriving company culture. 

SnappCar is a scale-up, which means this role involves a mix of strategic, tactical, and operational work. This dynamic environment allows you to take ownership, make a visible impact, and grow alongside the company while continuously improving how we work.

 
About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about people and culture and thrives in a fast-paced, impact-driven organization. Ideally, you have:

  • At 2-4 years of experience as an HR specialist, with a strong focus on strategic and operational HR tasks.

  • You have a completed HBO or WO degree in a relevant field such as HRM, Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Sciences, or Sociology, but we value your experience in People & Culture more than the specific direction of your studies.

  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment, where you have independently set up HR processes and initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build relationships and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • You take ownership with a problem-solving mindset and navigate challenges with confidence. No problem is too big. You are eager to investigate, troubleshoot, and find solutions that create clarity and progress.

  • Strong Dutch and English language skills, both spoken and written. Whether it's handling difficult conversations, advising leadership, presenting your vision, or drafting handbooks and agreements.
